Live: Festival for world’s oldest irrigation system 2018中国·都江堰放水节

The Dujiangyan ancient irrigation system in Sichuan Province, China, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built more than 2,260 years ago, it made Sichuan one of the most productive agricultural regions in China. Every year, Dujiangyan still observes the ancient way of maintaining the levee and controlling water flow. The Water-releasing Festival celebrates the farming season and the engineering marvel. Join the festivities with CGTN’s Xu Mengqi and see how the world’s oldest irrigation system works.
