UK: Counter-terror police take over Russian spy ‘poison’ probe

Counter-terror police will now take over the investigation into how Russian spy Sergei Skripal was found unconscious on a park bench on Sunday along with his 33-year-old daughter after being exposed to an unknown substance.

Counter-terror police has taken charge of the investigation from local authorities.

Footage shows authorities scouting different locations. The Maltings shopping centre, where the pair was found unconscious has been sealed off, as well as a restaurant and a pub nearby.

Sergei Skripal, 66, is a former Russian intelligence agent convicted of supplying MI6 with Russian state secrets. He was involved in a spy swap in 2010 and given refuge in the UK.

He is currently in critical condition in Salisbury District Hospital.Subscribe to our channel!
