The Heat: The legacy of the Iraq War 15 years later Pt 2

Fifteen years ago this month, the U.S.-led war in Iraq was launched. The initial objective was to remove Iraq’s leader Saddam Hussein and to liberate its people. The Bush Administration claimed Iraq was hiding weapons of mass destruction but none were ever found. The conflict tore the country apart and hundreds of thousands lost their lives. Millions more were displaced. To discuss all of this: Rend Al-Rahim is the former Iraqi Representative to the U.S. (2003-05). Hiwa Osman is an Iraqi-Kurdish journalist and commentator. Abdel Bari Atwan is the Editor-in-Chief of Rai-al-Youm. Richard Becker is a coordinator with ANSWER, Act Now to Stop War.
