Shortage of top talent and regional imbalances restrict China’s development

China has once again delivered a satisfactory economic performance in the past year with a GDP growth of 6.9%. But when we look at our industries from the view of innovation and invention, is our performance as glamorous as our economic data? A consensus was reached during the recent Two Sessions that in the next stage of development, China will focus more on quality than quantity.
