RAW: FSB bust ISIS cell in Dagestan, 5 recruiters detained

Russia’s FSB (Federal Security Service) detained five people who were allegedly recruiting people for Islamic State (IS; formerly ISIL/ISIS) in the city of Makhachkala in the Russian Republic of Dagestan on Monday.

According to a press release from the service, the head of the cell and four associates radicalized at least four local people, who were subsequently trained by IS and took part in combat operations for the group.
