One-on-one with former WHO Chief Margaret Chan

Margaret Chan, the former Director-General of the World Health Organization, was the first Chinese to serve as the UN agency's executive. On the sidelines of China's Two Sessions, Tian Wei asked about her insights into China's public health system. As someone who has dedicated her career to improving public health, she said China has matured a lot since the SARS breakout in 2003 and has since learned many lessons. She said China's now one of the best countries in preventing and containing infectious diseases.
