Barack Obama gets official New Zealand welcome

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern met former US President Barack Obama in Auckland on Thursday, describing him as "incredibly warm and laid back and approachable." Obama was given an official welcome, called a powhiri, at Government House before his meeting with Ardern. Obama arrived on Wednesday for a three-day visit to New Zealand, during which he also spoke with community leaders, and played golf.
