🇺🇸 US Congress passes spending bill to end brief shutdown

US President Donald Trump has signed off on a spending bill, officially ending the government shutdown after just a few hours.

The stopgap measure will extend government funding until March 23rd.

The cost of this bi-partisan budget deal will be expanding the US' deficit and $20 trillion debt, an astonishing number for a Congress controlled by Republicans, once known for fiscal conservatism.
