Ukraine: Supporters protest deportation of Saakashvili at Kiev Airport

A small group of supporters of Former Georgian President and Governor of Odessa Mikheil Saakashvili, gathered at Kiev's Zhuliany International Airport, Monday, to demand the immediate release of the detained leader of the 'Movement of New Forces.'

Protesters held banners reading, "Poroshenko release Saakashvili" as one demanded, "After the kidnapping of Saakashvili, everyone must be activated in to a large crowd and sweep away the betrayal, sweep criminals, and remove them from power."

Saakashvili has been reportedly deported from Ukraine to Poland. He was regarded stateless as he had given up his Georgian citizenship to become a Ukrainian citizen. He was later stripped of his Ukrainian passport after having a fallout with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
