Russia: Saratov mourns An-148 plane crash victims

Mourners gathered outside Saratov's airport on Monday, to honour the Saratov Airlines plane crash victims.

Some 100 people gathered in the hall of the airport to pay their respects to the victims and lay flowers.

Pictures of the six crew members killed in the crash were placed on the commemorative board. "[They were] joyful, positive and kind. We cherish the memory of them," said their former colleague Victoria Fomicheva.

The airliner was heading to the city of Orsk when the crash occurred some 80 kilometres (50 miles) south-east of the Moscow. It went off the radar screens shortly after it had taken off from the capital's Domodedovo Airport.

All 71 people aboard, including three foreign nationals and six members of the crew, were killed.
