The first international meeting of Ninja Studies students took place in Iga in Japan on Saturday.

Yamada Yuji, Professor of Faculty of Humanities, Law and Economics in Mie University discussed the ninja entrance exams and added, "Ninja is very important part within Japanese culture."

William Reed, Professor of International College of Liberal Arts iCLA in Yamanashi Gakuin University also shed light on the often-misunderstood term ‘ninja’ saying, "You know we have an image of ninja from Hollywood movies, they are assassins and they are always sneaking around and wearing this black costume but… they were actually doing ordinary trades, they might be an entertainer or they might be a priest but they are gathering information."
