Civilians pay the price as Turkey-Kurdish tensions escalate in Syria

Kurdish fighters have increased their attacks on Turkish soil since Ankara launched a military operation last month aimed at defeating fighters from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) and the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in northwestern Syria.

Since the start of the operation, Kurdish fighters have carried out a series of cross-border attacks by firing rockets into southern Turkey.

Al Jazeera's Jamal Elshayyal has been met some of the Turkish victims at Reyhanli, on the Turkey-Syria border, whose lives have been affected by the violence.
