China-UK Innovation Industrial Park to be built in Qingdao

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said at a press briefing this morning that China and the UK will sign deals worth 9 billion pounds during May's visit. The deals cover various sectors including the Belt and Road Initiative, finance, agriculture, and technology. The two sides have agreed to build a financial and technological town in the Xiong'an New Area, in Hebei Province, which was established in 2017 as part of measures to advance the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. A China-UK Innovation Industrial Park will also be built in the coastal city of Qingdao in east China's Shandong Province.
