Japan: Eight dead bodies found on latest North Korean 'ghost ship'

Eight bodies were recovered from a wrecked boat that washed ashore in Kanazawa, the capital city of Ishikawa Prefecture, on Tuesday.

Corpses of seven men were found inside the wreckage, while the badly decomposed remains of another man were discovered around 15 meters from the boat. All of them are thought to be fishermen from North Korea.

The footage shows the wreckage and some belongings scattered over the coastline.

Dozens of North Korean fishing boats are forced onto Japan's coast by high winds and strong currents every year. These ships are called "ghost ships" because they are usually found empty or only with dead bodies.
