Italy: Italians protest house evictions in Rome

Hundreds gathered in front of Regione Lazio in Rome on Tuesday, to protest the eviction from their occupations during 2017.

The protesters marched holding banners, flags and signs and demanded form the municipality to find them new housing arrangements.

The evicted occupants are currently living under the protection of the Basilica dei Santi Aposostoli (SS Apostoli).

SOT, Protester (Italian): "They haven’t found an answer yet, to the request of a worthy accommodation. Children are obliged to move every day to go to school, people have no place to wash themselves."
