Colombia: Ex-FARC militants swap weapons for farm tools at rural commune

Nestled in rural southern Colombia lies a small socialist commune populated by former militants of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), a Marxist-orientated guerrilla group. Located in Caqueta Department, deep inside the former war-zone, Agua Bonita is now a picture of peaceful cooperation.

Following a peace deal in 2016, the FARC militants laid down their arms and turned their attention to farming, repair-work and intellectual pursuits, as they seek to integrate into society.
