Albania: Thousands call for govt. to resign in Tirana

Thousands of people took to the streets of Tirana, Saturday, to protest against the Albanian government, accusing it of links to organised crime and calling for its resignation.

Supporters of the centre-right Democratic Party and other parties gathered at Tirana’s Martyrs of the Nation Boulevard and called for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. One protester accused Rama’s government of supporting "drug dealers and drug abusers."
