Afghanistan: Officials confirm 63 dead, 159 wounded in Kabul suicide blast

Afghan government officials confirmed that 63 people were killed and 159 others were wounded in the suicide blast that shook Kabul on Saturday, speaking at a press conference at the Government Media & Information Centre later in the day.

Nasrat Rahimi, deputy spokesperson for the Interior Ministry, said the suicide bomber had planned to ram his explosives-laden ambulance into the Interior Ministry building, before detonating it at a second security checkpoint.
